To the left is an excerpt from an assessment we did in LDRS 510.
“I AM” Statement from LDRS 510
I am a people oriented person who aims to please people. I desire to be accepted and I fear rejection. I am shy and quiet but most of all I am friendly and a genuine person. My goal in life is to encourage other college students like myself to express themselves and not be afraid to ask for help.
I am an emotional person and like to be heard. I am all about justice and I believe all people should be treated equally and fairly.
I am sensitive but also like a challenge at times. I am skilled at giving advice when needed. I enjoy the outdoors and going on adventures; hiking and biking are both to my liking. I get greatest pleasure out of being with animals.
I am a field dependent and an INFP. My strengths are disciple, restorative, learner, intellect, and deliberative.
Implications for leadership are:
Mentor/counselor
Ethical stewardship/moral leader
Responsibility
Rely heavily on details and facts . . . I need an honest person like myself in my life
Need to be paired with someone who can make me laugh, give good advice, and always be consistent
I am Lisa Simpson and need a Curious George as my #2.
